New plants!
One of our favorite things ever, being herbalists and farmers is of course new plants! Yesterday, in the rain, David planted 2 rose bushes, 2 elderberry bushes, 2 blueberry bushes, and 2 red passionflower plants!!! Aside from being great for pollinators, these plants are great to eat and make tea/tincture/syrup and other herbal treats from!!! We won’t likely harvest from these perennials this year, but will nurture them so they become strong and abundant enough for us to harvest from in years to come. Our farm practice isn’t one of instant gratification, but one of slow, mindful growth.

Milky Oats Tincture Pressing
We had the chance this week to process some milky oats tincture we started last summer. We made it with fresh milky oats we grew.
Avena Sativa, harvested when the oat pods are producing a milky fluid, is a very powerful nutritious nervine. We also sell tea made with dried Milky oats.

Skin salve for sale
If you have dry, cracking, peeling skin – whether it be from callouses, washing dishes, outdoor work, carpentry or whatever I have to recommend you try a skin salve I have made. The fewer ingredients the fewer potential you will have for issues. I do not use petroleum based ingredients in any of my products. All ingredients are easily pronounced! Except perhaps the Latin names for the plants. Mine has: chickweed oil, calendula oil, yarrow oil, goldenrod oil, coconut oil and beeswax. All oils made with high quality extra virgin olive oil. $7.50 for a 1 ounce tin, $15 for a 2 ounce tin
